Language, music, and movement are three things I am very passionate about.  They are also huge ways through which we communicate and interact with each other as a community.  When we are injured or in pain we may experience a disruption in our ability to share in community or give and receive the love we need to survive.  I see physical therapy as a way to relearn the dance steps to the music of life.

Joe was born in Lincoln and grew up in Valparaiso and Malcolm, NE.  He was homeschooled through 8th grade and graduated from High School in Malcolm where he participated in baseball, basketball, and track.  He, then, attended UNL where he started on the Pre-Physical Therapy track.  He frequently traveled to Mexico for missions trips with his family as a child and teenager which eventually led him to change his major to Spanish.  He graduated from UNL and, that same year, married his college sweetheart.  He and his wife have two kids and a dog and have lived in Lincoln for the past 15 years.  Joe decided to return to the field of physical therapy after his experience as a patient suffering from frequent neck pain and headaches. He enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing instruments in his free time.  Joe also likes to run, ride bikes, lift weights, take long walks, and salsa dance for fun.
